We decided to put our curious minds to work and set out on a quest to discover some of the world’s most luxurious hotels. What we present to you here, are some of our favourites, in no particular order.
ITC GRAND CHOLA HOTEL, CHENNAI, INDIA
India’s ITC Grand Chola Hotel is the definition of luxury. The third largest hotel in India, it has been labelled India’s largest stand-alone hotel. Lunched in September 2012, and worth over 12 million dollars, it boast a total of six hundred rooms with each room featuring an exclusive lounge and a private butler attached.
You have a choice between ten different restaurants and three roof top pools. Other facilities it boast include a gentleman and a ladies salon, a jacuzzi, a banquet hall and some twelve different spa treatment rooms.
MARINA BAY SANDS, SINGAPORE
Open in June 2010, the 55-story triple-tower joined together by a ship-like roof terrace known as the Sands SkyPark, Marina Bay Sands is a perfect expression of a dream threat. The SkyPark has an observation deck which offers a breath-taking panoramic view of Singapore, it also houses the world’s longest elevated swimming pool.
The hotel is home to ten celebrity chef restaurants. For those whose idea of luxury is shopping, the Marina Bay is home to the world’s largest Louis Vuitton boutique. For the movie lovers, the hotel’s two gigantic theatres can separately hold over 1500 viewers at a time, and if skating is your hobby, a 600 metre square skating rink is at your disposal. The Marina Bay Sands is truly a locale of pure luxury.
TOWN HOUSE GALLERIA, MILAN, ITALY
Situated in the heart of Milan in Italy, the Town House Galleria with its 52 rooms and suites, is a hotel with a priceless history. It is located inside of The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the world’s oldest shopping malls. With operations started in the first quarter of 2007, the small but magnificent resort boast of a spa and a restaurant that is sure to give you a treat of royalty. The Burj Al Arab, which means “The Tower of the Arabs” is one of the world’s most luxurious hotel. Situated in Dubai it is famous for sitting on an artificial island. It offers one of the best sea views you can get anywhere in the world. If you want a hotel where you can feel like a king in your own little world, Burj might give you just that – as long as you’re willing to part with twenty-four thousand dollars every day. Burj Dubai takes the definition of luxury to a whole new level.
INTERCONTINENTAL PRESIDENTE MEXICO CITY HOTEL
If you ever find yourself in the city of Mexico and you are looking for a place to be pampered, make sure to opt for Presidente Mexico City Hotel. Mounted in the High-class Mexican region of Polanco, this cosmopolitan hotel presents you a variety of indulgents. Hungry? You have seven restaurants to choose from. Feel like shopping? Neighbouring the hotels is the Presidente Masaryk avenue, a place where legendary stores like Chanel, Omega and Cartier are domiciled.
