It’s just drinking, it’s just dining, but merge them together in an entirely new perspective and what you get is one of a kind cultural event. The Session Five of Kata Rocks Collective series aims to do just that.
About to take place on May 21, the ‘The Great Prohibition 1930’s Party’ is one of the most highly anticipated and exclusive social gatherings of 2016 in Phuket. Gathering at the chic resort will be an eclectic mix of like-minded people who have been carefully selected by invitation only to engineer a truly unique interactive theme party experience. The evening’s soundtrack will be delivered P’jae Stanley Band to produce an authentic feel of a 1930’s depression era party in an authentic ‘speakeasy’ environment. The theme will continue in the cocktail menu featuring original depression era creations such as The Mary Pickford, White Lady, Ward 8, Mint Julep, French 75 and a period Whisky Sour.
Guests are expected to dress up – or down – to the theme. Double-breasted jackets with square shoulders and long, broad lapels, gangster style suits with wider shoulders, narrower waists and wider pants often paired with colorful tie and fedora are all welcome. But so are denim overalls and straw hats or unpretentious cotton dresses for the ladies for a 1930’s look.
Collective Series ‘Session Five ‘The Great Prohibition 1930’s Depression Era Party’ starts from 5:30pm with tickets priced at THB 2,000 net. This is inclusive of a free flow prohibition themed cocktails and signature canapés.
