J’Ade – The Special One

One is unique. What precedes it is nothing, zero, null. What follows is many, a mass, an ordinary crowd. In between, one stands alone, distinctive and one of a kind. Meet the One – meet J’Ade.

As far as super yachts go, there isn’t another one like J’Ade, and not just because only one was ever made. Created for a private investor in the shipyard of a renowned Italian company CRN, J’Ade has a number of features that make her truly exceptional.

“The owner of J’Ade proved to be an open-minded person,” says Bernardo Zuccon – designer and architect at Zuccon International Project, the company that collaborated with CRN on this startling design. “He appreciated our ideas, and trusted our project, but most of all, he was willing to invest in research, something that is not so common in our experience,” he adds.

Design and engineering unified

The result of this daring approach is a yacht that’s meant to catch the spectator’s eye. From the outside, it’s the large windows on the upper deck that make J’Ade immediately recognizable, but true innovation is what awaits those lucky few who have the pleasure of exploring the vessel’s interiors.

“J’Ade main special feature, that makes her stand out among all other 60-meter yachts, is surely the float-in tender dock with the aft beach club, which creates a unique space for the owner and guests,” explains Zuccon. “Float-in docks have been done before, but Zuccon International Project has been the first one to introduce the access from the water through a shell door to port,” he adds.

The result is a triumph of elegance, design and engineering. The one of a kind floating garage can store an eight-meter speedboat, which doesn’t require the use of a tender lift to hoist it out of the water. Accessible via a hydraulic-operated hatch, the dock is equipped with a fuel pump in the forward bulkhead for an easy refueling, underwater lights for a dramatic effect, and a high-power pump that can empty the 18,400 liter of water from the dock in under three minutes.

“Once dried out the dock can be transformed into a beach club terrace and the bay can be transformed into an ocean pool,” says Zuccon.

One yacht, many comforts

That isn’t however the only pool available on board. Another one sits comfortably on the sizeable 32 meters long sun deck, also equipped with a gym, a steam room, a shower and a helipad. Adjacent to it is the dining area of the upper saloon – remember those gorgeous panoramic windows on the upper deck? They are here to provide some spectacular ocean vistas for the guests at the formal dinner table or those lounging in the living room. For a more relaxed feel during breakfast or an alfresco lunch, a large round table found its place on the J’Ade’s terrace.

Four guest’s cabins are located on the lower deck, each fitted with two beds. The owner’s suite can be found on the main deck and features an office, a sleeping area, a large-scale bathroom with a generous round bathtub and a balcony to invite the sun and the sea inside.

A crew of 12 plus the captain caters to the owner’s and the guest’s needs and with a top speed of 16 knots, the super yacht is capable of making a Trans-Atlantic journey.

The highly customized J’Ade remains a single entity, a true soloist in the world of mass production. She more than stands out the crowd, there simply isn’t another one like her.
