It’s a happy day in a life of any GM when his team’s efforts are rewarded with a prize at a major, international contest. Then what do you call his day, if he wins not one but three awards at the same contest? If you want to know, ask Stefano Ruzza, General Manager at Conrad Koh Samui.
The award presentation ceremony and gala dinner for the inaugural World Luxury Restaurant Awards was recently held in the beautiful town of Pontresina in Switzerland and was attended by representatives of luxury restaurants, VIP guests from luxury resorts and spas from 38 countries – among them the General Manager of Conrad Koh Samui, Stefano Ruzza.
Mr Ruzza had three great reasons to be at the gala. Firstly, in recognition of delivering some of the best dining experiences in the world, fine dining restaurant, Jahn, at Conrad Koh Samui, was named the Overall Winner at the event. But for some, one is not enough. At the same inaugural event, Jahn was also named Global Winner in two categories – “Thai Cuisine” and “Ambiance/Romantic Atmosphere‟. Winners were selected based on votes from all around the world.
Commenting on this fantastic result Mr Ruzza said that it underscores the commitment of team Conrad Koh Samui culinary team to offer exquisite dining experiences inspired by Thailand’s rich culinary roots. “We will continue to deliver these exceptional experiences that celebrate the country’s culture and flavourful heritage,” he said.
